About the Original Japanese Wines
These original Japanese wines are made by FELISSIMO’s urban winery.
Named “Wa-in,” a play on Japanese wine and the character for harmony/Japan, the wines feature original labels evoking a Japanese aesthetic and are exclusive to the felissimore Osaka-Kansai Expo Store.
Both red and white are original f winery wines made from grapes grown locally in Kobe, Hyogo Prefecture.
What’s Inside
The white is made from Kobe-grown Riesling, an aromatic white-wine grape variety with a rich fragrance.
The red is made from Merlot grapes grown on older vines under grass-cover cultivation in hillside vineyards west of Kobe, producing a wine designed to showcase the fruit’s flavor.
Only wine made entirely from grapes grown in Japan and vinified in Japan may be labeled “Japanese wine.”
The wines are also designed to pair well with delicate washoku and Japanese cuisine.
