From Friday, April 7, to Sunday, April 9, 2023, "Nagano Prefecture: Traveling the Kikyogahara and Japan Alps Wine Valleys Eki Terrace" will be held at "ecute EDITION Iidabashi," an in-station commercial facility at JR Iidabashi Station.

Here are the details.

About the Event

"Nagano Prefecture: Traveling the Kikyogahara and Japan Alps Wine Valleys Eki Terrace" is an event where you can enjoy unique wines from emerging wineries located across the two wine valleys—wines that are rarely encountered in Tokyo.

<Kikyogahara Wine Valley> is centered around Kikyogahara in Shiojiri City, an area of about 8 square kilometers located roughly in the center of Nagano Prefecture, nestled between the Narai River and its tributary, the Tagawa River.

Precious wines from the <Japan Alps Wine Valley>, an area stretching along the Japan Alps including Azumino City, Omachi City, Matsumoto City, and Yamagata Village, will also be gathered together.

Key Highlights of the Event

There are two main highlights of this event.

1. Enjoy on Site

Eight wineries from the two wine valleys will visit in person.

You can enjoy conversations with representatives from the wineries while selecting your favorite wines and ciders to savor in the eat-in space.

In addition, snacks from each winery and "aimani SHIOJIRI"—a shop inside JR Shiojiri Station where visitors can enjoy Shiojiri wine—will be served.

2. Enjoy at Home

A curated selection of bottled wines from participating wineries, rarely found in Tokyo, will be available for purchase.

In addition, Kiso lacquerware glasses from Maruyoshi Kosaka Lacquerware Co. and sweets from "sweets & story IKUE," a popular patisserie in Matsumoto City, will also be available.

Here are the wineries participating this time:

Shiojiri City: Domaine Sur Lie
Shiojiri City: Sun Sun Winery
Shiojiri City: Very Beads Winery
Shiojiri City: Shiojiri City Tourism Association
