Here are the details.
About the Monitor Tour
This monitor tour is organized by Satoyume Co., Ltd., which supports regional revitalization and business creation across Japan.
It is said to offer a special three-day journey where participants encounter a "Hakodate" that deserves to become better known—distinct from the conventional charms known so far—and savor its stories.
Visiting the Winery!
During this monitor tour, guests will enjoy freshly cooked Hakodate-grown rice in expansive paddy fields, experience wine tasting at a historic French winery establishing its first venture in Japan, and take part in making amazake at a sake brewery established for the first time in half a century.
Hakodate City is where a world-renowned historic French winery plans to celebrate the grand opening of "de Montille & Hokkaido Winery" within this year, making this a rare opportunity to visit this globally watched winery.
In addition, with the birth of "Goryo no Kura," the first new sake brewery in Hakodate City in 54 years, it is sure to generate great buzz in the future.
With dinners featuring dishes highlighting the appeal of ingredients crafted by a young chef themed around local production for local consumption, the tour boasts rich content hard to believe for a monitor tour.
The tour fee is 80,000 yen (tax included) for 1 person, or 150,000 yen (tax included) for 2 people participating together.
Applications are already open, with the deadline on Wednesday, August 21 at 17:00.
The announcement of selected participants will take place on August 22.
