About "Experience the Fishing Town of Choshi with All Five Senses"
This two-day tour is designed to immerse participants in the scenery of a fishing town and let them fully experience the bounty of Choshi.
Organized by the Choshi Lively Fishing Town Revitalization Council, which works to revitalize the city's fishing communities from multiple angles, the tour aims to deliver experiences unique to Choshi through all five senses.
A Pairing of Choshi Wine and Local Seafood
The itinerary includes a walk through the historic fishing town with a local story guide, an exceptional pairing of Choshi tsurikinme line-caught alfonsino with locally produced wine, an overnight stay in a renovated traditional fishing-town house while listening to the waves, sunrise at Inubosaki, and a craft experience using fishing nets.
For Japanese wine fans in particular, the pairing of Choshi wine with Choshi tsurikinme is likely to be a highlight.
The tour takes place over two days, from Saturday, February 8 to Sunday, February 9, and participation is free.
Monitor participants are being recruited from couples and families with members aged 20 or older, as well as groups of relatives or friends consisting of three to six people.
If this sounds appealing, consider applying for the monitor tour.
