JALPAK Co., Ltd. has released another travel product featuring JR East’s luxury train TRAIN SUITE SHIKI-SHIMA, following a similar program last year.
For the first time, it has created a special course through Niigata and Nagano titled “A Journey to Savor the Refinement of Merchant Culture Nurtured by Port Towns and the Bounty of Satoyama.”
The special departure is limited to Friday, September 5, 2025.

About “A Journey to Savor the Refinement of Merchant Culture Nurtured by Port Towns and the Bounty of Satoyama”
The program is a special journey through Niigata and Nagano.
On the first day, guests stay at the Imperial Hotel, Tokyo, where a welcome dinner is held.
The next day, guests travel by hired car to Ueno Station and board the train for an elegant journey, spending quality time in a setting designed around exceptional hospitality while enjoying meals made with carefully selected seasonal ingredients from the regions along the route and the scenery outside the windows.

The itinerary offers an exceptionally luxurious travel experience.
On the final day, the journey begins at Obasute Station, where guests can enjoy the Zenkojidaira view, known as one of Japan’s three great train-window panoramas. After arriving at Shinonoi Station, the tour proceeds to the Chikuma River Wine Valley.
The itinerary includes a meal overlooking vineyards, a winery visit and a tasting experience, making it especially appealing to Japanese-wine fans.
After returning to Ueno Station, a farewell party will be held at the exclusive “Prologue Shiki-shima” lounge, where guests can share memories and impressions from the journey.
Tour prices range from ¥760,000 to ¥810,000 per person, based on departure from Komatsu, suite accommodation and two guests per room. The first application period runs from 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 6 through 4:59 p.m. Wednesday, February 26, 2025, and the second from 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 26 through 4:59 p.m. Thursday, May 8, 2025.
Winners are scheduled to be announced between Friday, February 28 and Tuesday, March 11, 2025.
