A Memorable Winery Visit! Goto Conkana Kingdom Winery & Resort Launches “Baramon Kite Painting Experience”

From Saturday, February 1, 2025, Goto Conkana Kingdom Winery & Resort will offer its “Baramon Kite Painting Experience” year-round.

It is a unique activity to enjoy alongside a winery visit.

Here are the details.

About Goto Conkana Kingdom Winery & Resort

Goto Conkana Kingdom Winery & Resort is a resort hotel about 15 minutes from Fukue Port and about five minutes from Goto Tsubaki Airport, with both hot-spring facilities and a winery on its grounds.

Goto Winery, in particular, is known as Nagasaki Prefecture’s first winery, making wine from grapes grown in the Goto Islands as well as other Japan-grown grapes. Visitors can enjoy wine on the spacious grounds while looking out toward Mt. Onidake.

About the “Baramon Kite Painting Experience”

Baramon kites have long been made and passed down on Fukue Island in the Goto Islands, located at the western edge of the Japanese archipelago.

The “Baramon Kite Painting Experience” at Goto Conkana Kingdom Winery & Resort lets participants create a one-of-a-kind original Baramon kite.

Participants can paint their kite in colors of their choice and create an original design unconstrained by convention, experiencing a piece of local traditional culture together with their winery visit.

The minimum group size is one person, and visitors can also see powerful Baramon kites made by professional artisans.

Why not make it part of your memories of a trip to Goto?
