On Friday, April 25, Bar & Cafe tanukran opened in front of Yoichi Station.
The casual bar, conveniently located near the station, offers a wide selection of Hokkaido wines, whiskies, and craft beers, including drinks from Yoichi.
Here are the details.
About Bar & Cafe tanukran
Bar & Cafe tanukran is operated by nuy Co., Ltd., which also runs Yoichi Vineyard Glamping.
The bar carries a broad selection of Hokkaido wines, whiskies, and craft beers and allows guests to compare small pours in a relaxed setting.
Rare Yoichi Wines Too
Tanukran’s concept is to let visitors—including tourists coming for destinations such as the Nikka distillery and local residents who enjoy alcohol—casually discover delicious drinks that Hokkaido is proud of, starting with small pours.
The lineup includes whisky available only at the Nikka Yoichi Distillery, hard-to-find releases from Akkeshi’s 24 Solar Terms series, small-production wines from local wineries, and craft beer from popular Hokkaido breweries.
The food menu includes a range of tapas such as bruschetta made with local ingredients.
Because there are relatively few cafés near Yoichi Station suitable for meeting up, the venue also welcomes café use.
If you are planning a winery tour in Yoichi, consider stopping by Bar & Cafe tanukran, just a one-minute walk from JR Yoichi Station.
