Atsumi Onsen Bankokuya has launched two new lodging plans.

One includes a full bottle of “Tsuruoka Koshu 2023” together with a lavish dinner featuring seafood from the Sea of Japan, while the other is a seven-day limited experience plan offering all-you-can-eat seasonal Shonai Sand Dune melons.

Here are the details.

About the Plans

Atsumi Onsen Bankokuya is a long-established ryokan in Tsuruoka City, Yamagata Prefecture, that has been ranked for 40 consecutive years in the “Top 100 Hotels and Ryokan Selected by Professionals.”

The new offerings include a lodging plan featuring a full bottle of “Tsuruoka Koshu 2023,” which won a gold medal at IWC 2025, one of the world’s leading wine competitions, along with a luxurious meal of seafood from the Sea of Japan, and a seven-day limited plan featuring all-you-can-eat seasonal Shonai Sand Dune melons.

About the Plan with a Full Bottle of “Tsuruoka Koshu 2023”

“Tsuruoka Koshu 2023” is a white wine made by Pinot Collina Matsugaoka in Tsuruoka City using Koshu grapes harvested from rare vines approximately 60 years old.

It is characterized by aromas of green apple, citrus, and smoke, and pairs exceptionally well with fresh seafood from the Sea of Japan.

This special plan includes one full bottle of “Tsuruoka Koshu 2023” for every two guests.

Dinner is a luxurious kaiseki meal centered on “Sashimi Kokonoe,” an elegant assortment of seasonal seafood, and melt-in-your-mouth premium Yamagata beef steak.

A must-see plan for Japanese wine fans—be sure to check it out.
