ANDO Co., Ltd. has opened “Eki Labo,” a shared space where young people and local community-development players can gather, inside “OYA EKIMADO,” a multi-tenant facility created by renovating a 120-year-old traditional house in front of Oya Station on the Shinano Railway.
Using Eki Labo as a hub, high school students are taking on the challenge of developing an original menu, which will be unveiled at “Oya Kakuuchi,” the annual autumn wine, stand and café event held in front of Oya Station.

About “Eki Labo”
“Eki Labo” is a shared space for young people and local community-development players, located inside “OYA EKIMADO,” a multi-tenant facility created by renovating a 120-year-old traditional house in front of Oya Station on the Shinano Railway.
In 2022, “OYA EKIMADO” opened in front of Oya Station after a 120-year-old house was renovated under the concept of “a community hub that connects people.”
As the next step toward further local development, the organizers felt there was a need for a “place for practice and gathering” where like-minded people, students and young people could turn ideas into reality and take on new challenges. That led to the opening of the Eki Labo shared space inside OYA EKIMADO.
A kitchen is planned for Eki Labo, and the space can be reserved in advance for private use for events and workshops. High school students can use the shared space free of charge.
Several companies will also be recruited as shared-office tenants, creating an environment where adults and young people can meet and take on challenges together.
Pairings with Local Wine, Too!
As Eki Labo’s first initiative, students from Maruko Shugakukan High School, whose nearest station is Oya Station, are developing an original menu using local products.
The menu will be unveiled at “Oya Kakuuchi,” the annual autumn wine, stand and café event held in front of Oya Station on Saturday, October 25, 2025.
“Oya Kakuuchi” is a wine event launched in 2023 to let people enjoy wine casually, with a focus on local wineries. This year marks its third edition.
It is said to be a popular event where visitors can casually enjoy wines from local wineries, including Château Mercian.
