About “Ajimu Wine Chardonnay Reserve 2023”
“Ajimu Wine Chardonnay Reserve 2023” is a wine aiming for harmony between the aromas of new oak and fruit, fermented and aged in 100% new oak barrels using carefully selected ripe Chardonnay.
It is a wine where you can enjoy the well-rounded harmony of oak and fruit, along with a long finish.
“Grand Gold Award” Wine
“Ajimu Wine Chardonnay Reserve 2023,” to be released in September 2024, is a wine that won the highest award, the “Grand Gold Award,” at the Japanese Wine Competition.
The “Grand Gold Award” was newly established to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the Japanese Wine Competition, awarded to wines scoring 92 points or higher representing roughly the top 1% of entries in each category; this time, out of a total of 941 wines entered, only the top 2 wines were chosen, making it the top-of-the-top award in Japanese wine.
It has long been said that Japanese wine is evolving, and here comes a wine that could serve as proof of that.
