On Sunday, October 19, 2025, the Japan Wine Grape Growers Association (JVA) will hold a free tasting of six wines made from imported grape varieties and clones.
The event can be joined either at the Shibuya venue or online.

About the Tasting
The event offers free tastings of wines made from varieties and clones independently imported and supplied by JVA.
To adapt to climate change and rapidly shifting global wine trends, JVA plans to introduce 200 varieties over the next 10 years.
This tasting includes Vidal Blanc and Mencia, both being introduced to Japan for the first time, as well as noteworthy rare varieties such as Albariño and Petit Manseng.
Event Details
Six wines made from imported varieties will be served free of charge:
Petit Manseng, Albariño, Vidal Blanc, Tannat, Mencia, and Cabernet Franc.
The grapes were grown and the wines made by Ajimu Winery.
Participants will be asked to complete a brief survey after the tasting.
