About the Event
"50th Anniversary KOMORO WINE BRAND-NEW DAYS Autumn 2023" is an event commemorating the 50th anniversary of the establishment of "Manns Wine Komoro Winery," marking a 50-year milestone since wine production began in earnest in Komoro.
The Chikuma River Wine Valley (Eastern District) Special Zone is comprised of nine neighboring municipalities including Komoro City (Komoro City, Tomi City, Ueda City, Chikuma City, Saku City, Tateshina Town, Aoki Village, Nagawa Town, and Sakaki Town); because brewing became possible with a minimum annual volume of 2,000 L using ingredients from within the wide-area special zone, small-scale wineries and wine grape growers starting new farming ventures have increased.
Through this event, they hope visitors will discover the charm, deliciousness, and excellence of "KOMORO WINE."
Event Overview
At the event, visitors can enjoy wines and ciders from wineries in Komoro City, Tateshina Town, and Chikuma City, as well as food pairings offered by local eateries.
Furthermore, the venue is "Manns Wine Komoro Winery," which celebrates its 50th anniversary this year.
To reach the venue, visitors can use a specially operated free shuttle bus, the "Komoro Excursion Bus" operating every Saturday and Sunday from October 14, or the shared taxi "Komoro Meguri-bin."
With attractions such as a live public broadcast by FM Karuizawa, the event is packed with exciting activities.
