Manns Wines Co., Ltd. has released two Pinot Noir wines born from more than 30 years of work.
The two-bottle set, showcasing the individuality of grapes grown in different vineyards, went on sale through the winery’s online shop on Friday, September 25.

Manns Wines has long worked with Pinot Noir. For this set, two wines grown at different elevations were bottled separately so they can be compared side by side.
First is Chikumagawa Pinot Noir 560 2025.
The “560” in the name refers to the vineyard parcel’s elevation of 560 meters.
Its aroma combines bright red-fruit notes reminiscent of cherry and raspberry with concentrated black-fruit notes such as blackberry and cassis, creating a complex expression in the glass.
On the palate, concentrated fruit spreads from the attack, supported by supple, pleasant tannins, while moderate acidity keeps the whole wine focused.
From the mid-palate, the interplay of red and black fruit creates complexity, and a subtle astringency adds depth and dimension.
The finish continues gently with sweet fruit nuances and spice, expressing the distinctive character of Higashiyama.

The “910” in the name refers to the vineyard parcel’s elevation of 910 meters.
It has a clear, brilliant ruby appearance. The aroma offers fresh red-fruit notes reminiscent of raspberry and red currant, together with the delicacy and transparency associated with a cool vineyard and an elegant, rose-petal-like character.
On the palate, lively acidity and pure red-fruit flavors spread across the mouth.
Fresh flavors reminiscent of raspberry and cranberry are accompanied by fine-grained tannins, creating a light yet focused structure.
The extended acidity and transparent fruit character produced by the cool environment are in harmony, resulting in an elegant style that reflects the individuality of the site.
