Next May, in Hong Kong,VINEXPO ASIA Hong Kongwill finally take place.
Ahead of this, a press conference was recently held at the Institut français du Japon - Tokyo.
What is VINEXPO? What is its significance? Furthermore, what benefits does it offer to producers and exhibitors? Here is a detailed report.

CHAPTER 01

What are VINEXPO and VINEXPOSIUM?

VINEXPO ASIAis an international trade show and exhibition event held in the Asia-Pacific region for wine and spirits professionals, organized by the France-based organizationVinexposium.

The organizer,Vinexposiumhas hosted international wine & spirits trade fairs in Bordeaux since 1981. Today, these events have expanded beyond Europe to the US, India, and various Asian countries, becoming a focus of interest for wine & spirits industry professionals worldwide.
In 2020, the international wine trade fair "Wine Paris" (held annuallyFebruary flagship exhibition held in Paris), attracting over 52,000 visitors, 5,400 exhibitors/54 countries, and 116 international pavilions, making it a large-scale event.

Among them, VINEXPO ASIA is the largest and most established event in Asia, enabling access to mature and emerging markets in North Asia and Southeast Asia.

Attractive Events at VINEXPO ASIA

So, what specific benefits are there for exhibitors?
Let us take a look at the details while referring to data from the previous event in 2024.

Large-Scale Visitor and Exhibitor Numbers

In 2024, VINEXPO ASIA Hong Kong welcomed more than 14,200 visitors from 60 countries. On the producer side, 1,032 companies from 35 countries exhibited.
30% of exhibitors were from French wine regions, alongside 85 Australian producers, and 57 spirits, non-alcoholic, and low-alcohol brands from 16 other countries.
Furthermore, through the Hosted Buyers Program and the VINEXPO Club, more than 300 top buyers participated.

It is fair to say this represents a considerable scale for an alcoholic beverage event in Asia.

Meaningful Networking

At VINEXPO ASIA Hong Kong, it is possible to schedule business meetings in advance. This is a major advantage for producers seeking business partners.
At the previous event, an astounding 4,237 business meetings were pre-arranged.

It also maintains partnerships with 19 associations.

In addition, seminars under the 'Vinexpo Academy' banner were held with 42 sessions and 62 speakers, attracting more than 1,400 participants.

Media exposure is another significant highlight.
At the previous show, more than 300 media outlets were accredited, yielding over 1,000 published articles.
Regarding social media audiences, figures stand at Instagram: 22k, X: 15k, LinkedIn: 29k, Facebook: 60k, and WeChat & RED: 11k.
